RCI 6HR eSports Series 2024: Top BMW and P14 overall
Following in the footsteps of the first RCI eSports season (March-May 2023) when our leading crew finished fifth overall, with two second places in the Imola and Paul Ricard events, we decided to bring back the BMW M4 GT3 for another go when this series was announced.
Each of the past six months has seen us compete in a six hour race, with our car pick on the back foot somehow. Only at the dawn of the championship we had the chance to shine, thus cementing our final placement of 14th out of 45 crews, with a prize of 260€ awarded. Oystein Brennum (Norway) was the regular, assisted by Marco Jonkers (Netherlands), Thomas Schameitat (Germany) and Manos Gerardis (Greece).
Here are the complete results:
- Kyalami (September): qualified P26, finished P16 with Oystein, Marco and Thomas;
- Silverstone (October): qualified P19, finished P21 with Oystein, Marco and Thomas;
- Watkins Glen (November): qualified P26, finished P10 with Oystein, Marco and Manos;
- Monza (December): qualified P22, finished P26 with Oystein and Thomas;
- Spa (Januarry): qualified P25, finished P13 with Oystein and Thomas;
- Barcelona (February): qualified P2 (+0.012s), finished P5 with Oystein, Manos and Thomas;
