WCR claims second place in the Endurance Karting Masters final to end third overall

Continuous improvement for an unchanged line-up of six sim racers meant another podium placement at the best outing of the year.

Third at EKM1 and fifth at EKM2 saw West Competition Racing firmly in the fight for third place in the overall Clubsport standings. One rival was immediately delayed by a penalty, which left an interesting strategic battle on course for most of the race: a perfectly executed strategy (with no sanctions or additional unscheduled pit stops) was the part that could be controlled. As for the rest, a few misfortunes for the others did not change the global picture - it only meant WCR went up to the second step of the podium.

Sebastian Apostol, Maria Țurai, Cătălin Tufeanu, Rareș Oprea, Matei Stoica and Mihai Zaharia improved their EKM2 pace on a perfect Saturday. It was obvious that everyone else found massive chunks of time as well, but WCR proved once more that it was more than luck in this 2021 placement. Apostol was third fastest of all Clubsport racers after six hours. Most importantly, they all raced clean and stayed out of trouble.
